Mark Akers:: Senior Pastor
He grew up in Pontiac, Illinois. Pastor Akers became a Christian in 1977, developed a heart for ministry, and began his educational training in order to further his opportunity for ministry (Temple Junior College, Temple, TX; Rhema Bible Training Center, Tulsa, OK; Berean School of the Bible, Springfield, MO; Baylor University, Waco, TX). Pastor Akers completed his formal studies in 1984, and during his school years, he served as Associate Pastor of Bethel Assembly of God in Temple, TX. Then, in 1983, he accepted his first pastorate at First Assembly of God in Hamilton, Texas. After five character-building years, God brought him to Victorious Life Assembly of God in 1988. Along the way, God blessed him and his wife with three boys: Matthew, Nathan, and Bradley.

Seth Morris :: Music Pastor

Seth first joined our VLC worship team as a guitarist in 1996, and left VLC for a short time as full-time Worship Leader and Youth Minister at Bethel Temple Assembly of God in Denton, Texas. He came “back home” to VLC as our Minister of Music in 1999, and continues to direct our Worship and Media Ministries. He and his wife Heather are the proud parents of daughters Gwendolyn and Breanne, and son Jaedon.
